CompTIA Mobility+ Certification Soon

CompTIA Mobility+ Certification Soon

CompTIA’s Mobile App Security+ certification seemed to indicate that the non-profit was serious about putting its foot down in mobile technology (just like mobile technologies do in tech these days!). CompTIA has just announced Mobility+, its second mobility-related certification. It’s currently on the ‘coming soon” shelf, but let’s take a closer look at what’s coming.
CompTIA says Mobility+ certification was created in close collaboration with MSPs (Managed Service Providers), whose employees are supposedly its main target audience. Mobility professionals and in-house network engineers may find it useful to add Mobility+ certification to their portfolio. It could be particularly beneficial for those in positions such as mobility engineers, network administrators or mobility architects, and security administrators.
This certification will allow candidates to position themselves as skilled mobile professionals as mobile technology is rapidly becoming one of the most important IT trends, mainly in terms of job opportunities.
CompTIA Mobility+ exam (MB0-001), will contain 100 multiple-choice questions about mobile device management, troubleshooting and security, as well as network infrastructure. It’s designed to validate the skills and abilities of IT professionals who can manage, support, and deploy a mobile environment.
CompTIA recommends that candidates have a minimum of 18 months experience in a mobile environment. They are also encouraged to have a Network+ certification, and 12 months of networking experience.
CompTIA Mobility+ (MB0-001 exam) will cover these domains (detailed exam objective are available on the official site):
Over-the-Air Technologies
Network Infrastructure
Mobile Device Management
Security
Troubleshooting
When is it coming? CompTIA has not yet provided an exact date. However, given the time it took CompTIA to launch the CompTIA Mobility+ certification, it is safe to assume that Mobility+ certification will be available next. Now is the best time to prepare. Are you ready?
