Carpathia Takes On AWS Management

Carpathia Hosting Inc. has released new software to manage Amazon Web Services Inc.’s cloud workloads in hybrid infrastructure scenarios.
The new Cloud Operations Platform for Amazon Web Services provides a “single-pane-of-glass” view of cloud resources — including AWS, dedicated and private — in its consolidated portal.
Peter Weber, CEO of Carpathia, stated that enterprises are facing increasing complexity in managing hybrid compute environments and workloads that move between private clouds and hosted infrastructure. “Carpathia’s uniqueness is managing complex infrastructure. Our Cloud Operations Platform was designed for customers who want to have one service provider manage their entire hybrid computing infrastructure.”
The management tool simplifies cloud operations such as stopping, starting, and pausing AWS resources; improved reporting with metrics for cloud infrastructure; ticketing; event integration; and simplified asset administration that allows customers to manage AWS workloads in a similar way to other workloads under Carpathia management.
Carpathia, a Dulles, Va.-based company, also announced that it has become a consultant partner in the AWS Partner Network as well as a member of Amazon Web Services Channel Reseller Program. This will allow it to be a one-stop shop for all AWS management functionality including provisioning, billing, and managing AWS resources.
